Real-Time project scenarios in SAP-HANA

• There are 2 kinds of scenarios.

1. Main car scenario.
2. Sidecar scenario.

Sidecar scenario.

• We can migrate the data from Non-SAP (SQL, Oracle), SAP-ECC ( SAP ECC 6.0 ) to SAP-HANA using Data Provisioning method.

• We can use the following Tools for Data provisioning ( Migration ).

1. SLT ( SAP- Landscape Transformation ).
2. DS ( Data Services ).
3. SDA ( Smart Data Access ).
4. Flat files.

• SLT ( SAP- Landscape Transformation ):- It can communicate with SAP as well as Non-SAP and transfer data in real-time to SAP-HANA.
• DS ( Data Services):- Used to transfer data from SAP as well as Non-SAP to SAP-HANA.We can transform ( We can write business rules, join tables etc ) the data. It's not in real-time. Used for batch data transfer.
• SDA ( Smart Data Access): can connect only with non-SAP to SAP-HANA.
• Flat files: Files like Excel, note,.CSV files to SAP-HANA.

Note: Once Data Provisioning done, then follow below steps ( Fig showed in the Main car ).

1. Data Modelling: used to define the relationship between tables based on business requirements. ex: General Ledger, Sales related
2. User-Interface: UI used to expose the Modeled data. Ex: Excel, Design Studio, Explorer, WEB( AOLAP ), Lumira, Fiori Apps, Crystal report Enterprise, OFFICE ( Analysis for Office ).
3. Configuration: Used to Configure of Data models and different integration scenarios based on a Business scenario.

Main car scenario

• In Main car scenario, applications are directly connected to SAP-HANA.
• Applications like S4 HANA ( Simple Version 4 HANA ), BW4 ( Used for embedded analytics ).
• Their compliments each other.
• Also, we can integrate with front-end UI like  Design Studio, Explorer, WEB( AOLAP ), Lumira, Fiori Apps, Crystal report Enterprise, OFFICE ( Analysis for Office ).
