SAP-HANA Studio overview



  • Catalog : is a collection of schema.
  • Schema : is collection of tables.
  • Tables : In SAP-HANA ,tables are primary way to store data in-memory and  column oriented .

  • Content :Collection of Packages.
  • Packages : are used to collect related information together.It's like a folder.Suppose for an ex: ECC is a Package in SAP , then FI , HR , SD are sub-packages.
  • Under Package we can create Information Views.
  • There are 3 types of information Views.
  1. Attribute View : used to Master data modelling . Ex : Material Mater , Customer Master, General Ledger .
  2. Analytic View : used to Transaction data modeling . Ex : quantity    , amount
  3. Calculation View : used for both Master and Transaction data . Ex : GST ,Order Quantity, Tax.

    People are saying that hana studio will be no longer used & everything will be done in sap web ide full stack. If so how to do data provision in web ide.
