Brisbane, Australia: SAP S4HANA FINANCE BPC PROJECT MANAGER immediate joiners only

 Hays Technology has partnered with our key enterprise client in Brisbane to appoint an SAP Project Manager - Finance & Budget Planning & Consolidation (BPC) to an initial contract to EOFY 2026. This role will support a large implementation of SAP S/4HANA.


Your new role

Reporting to the ERP SAP S/4HANA Finance Project Manager, this role is responsible for finance-specific project management, governance, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, and project reporting to ensure a structured and well-managed implementation of finance-related workstreams. The Finance & Budget Planning & Consolidation (BPC) Project Manager will play a key role in tracking and managing streams of project activities, managing interdependencies, ensuring governance compliance, and support financial data migration and integration activities. This position requires strong financial acumen, project management experience, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced ERP transformation environment.

  • Support the Finance Project Manager in managing the SAP S/4HANA Finance project, ensuring all project activities align with governance frameworks.
  • Deliver financial reconciliation and exception reporting, ensuring accuracy in budget planning, financial consolidation, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with Finance and Procurement Project Managers to align and integrate SAP S/4HANA Finance & BPC data with core Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and Enterprise Performance Management business functions.
  • Develop relationships, plans, and an approach to work with the Data Migration & Integration Project Manager on key deliverables
  • Develop, track, and maintain the project schedule
  • Ensure alignment with SAP Activate methodology, following best practices in finance BPC project governance and system deployment

    What you'll need to succeed

    • 5-10 years' experience as a project manager within finance, ERP, or large-scale ICT transformation projects.
    • Strong experience in financial governance, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking within enterprise or government environments.
    • Proven experience supporting Finance & BPC project governance, including compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
    • Experience managing financial data migrationvalidation, and reconciliation, ensuring data integrity in system transitions.
    • Ability to manage Finance & BPC specific project risks, issues, and change controls, ensuring approvals follow established financial governance structures.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in Finance & BPC related project dependencies and data reconciliation challenges.
    • Experience working in a matrix management environment, coordinating with multiple stakeholders across finance, procurement, IT, and ERP teams.
