Implementing Template File Transform in BODS

• Table Loader is used to "read data from table”.
• Template File is a file. This File is generates at run-time.

Steps:-

• Click on Project -> Right click on New -> click on Data Flow.

• Enter Data Flow name and Description.
• Click on Finish.

• Drag and drop Table Reader into work Area.

• Click on value search help.

• Select Source Data Store -> Click on OK.

• Click on search help of Table.

• Select Table -> click on OK.

• Click on OK.

• Drag and drop Template File into work area.

• We can see Template File.

• First click on Template File.
• Click on Properties.

  

• Click on Root directory value search help.

• Select the Desktop -> click on OK.

• Click on value search help of File name.

• Select the file.
• If you want to see data of Template file then right click on file and click on Open.

• Initially in  file there is no data.

• Select the  File -> Click on Open.

• In File name value search help, we can see our file.

• Link between Table reader and Template File.

• Click on Save.

• Click on Validate.

• Pop-up will appear "Validation is successfully". 

• Click on execution.

• Select the  Job Server and click on Finish.

• Success message.

 

• Go to Desktop.
• Select the File -> Right click on File -> click on Open.

• Now we can see source table data in target Template File.
