Scheduling jobs in Data Services Management Console


  • Start -> Click on All programs .
  • Click on SAP Data Services 4.2 -> click on Data services Management Console.
  • Enter User name and Password.
  • Click on Administrator tab.
  • Expand the ‘Batch’.
  • Select the Repository where you have the job.
  • Looks like,
  • Click on ‘Batch job Configuration’ Tab.
  • Select the Project of  Job.
  • Click on the ‘Schedules’ (this is under other information column) of the job for which we want to create schedule.
  • Click on ‘Add’ button.
  • Give a name for job schedule. 
  • Click on Active .
  • Select Date/Day for your schedule.
  • Select Day of month.
  • Select Day of week.
  • Recurring: it  is a option of ‘recurring’ if want to schedule the job in recurring fashion(Say if we want our job to be run after every 2 hours or daily at some specific time or on every Monday etc.).
  • Provide a time for the schedule (Our job will be triggered at this time automatically once we activate the schedule).
  • Click on the ‘apply’ button and a schedule for our job is created.

  • Now go to the ‘Repository Schedules’ tab .
  • We can see here created job.
